Power to prohibit use of public streets for certain kind of traffic and on street parking.– (1) The Commissioner may prohibit vehicular traffic or on street parking in any public street or any portion thereof so as to prevent danger, obstruction or inconvenience to the public or to ensure quietness in any locality. (2) The Commissioner may seek assistance from police to regulate traffic in streets as stipulated under section 69 of the Karnataka Police Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 4 of 1964).
