State Election Commission.- (1) The superintendence, direction and control of the preparation of electoral rolls for, and the conduct of, all elections to the Grama Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat or Zilla Panchayat 1[and the power of 2[XXX]2 enforcement of the code of conduct in respect such elections]1 shall be vested in the State Election Commission consisting of a State Election Commissioner to be appointed by the Governor.
