Appointment of the Planning Officer and Engineer.- (1) The State Government shall appoint an officer of the Town Planning Department, Gadag, not below the rank of an Assistant Director of Town planning and an Engineer not below the rank of Assistant Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Gadag to be a Town Planning Officer and Engineer respectively. (2) The Planning Officer and Engineer shall report to the Commissioner, and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed.
