Crimes in the name of honour or tradition and any other act to prevent exercise of rights under section 3.- Whoever causes any crimes in the name of “honour” or tradition as defined in section 5,- (a) not amounting to killing in the name of “honour” but grievous hurt and injury, shall be punishable with imprisonment of a term which shall not be less than two years but which may extend to five years and shall also be liable to fine which may extend to one lakh rupees. (b) Any person or persons who commits any act not defined in section 9 and 10 to prevent the exercise of the rights referred in sub-sections(1) and (2) of section 5 by any person or a group of persons shall be punishable with imprisonment of a term not less than two years but which may extend to five years and shall also be liable to fine which may extend to one lakh rupees.
