Managing Director and other officers.- (1) The State Government shall, by notification, appoint to the Authority an officer of the rank of Joint Director of Fisheries, as the Managing Director of the Authority who shall, subject to the general superintendence and control of the Authority, exercise and discharge such powers and duties as may be prescribed or delegated to him by the Authority. (2) Subject to such rules as may be prescribed, the Authority may appoint such other officers and employees as it may deem necessary for the efficient discharge of its functions. (3) The terms and conditions of service of the officer specified in sub-section (1) and employees appointed under sub-section (2) shall be such as may be prescribed. (4) The State Government may, by notification, appoint an officer not below the rank of an Assistant Director of Fisheries Department as the Chief Executive Officer for each fishing harbour terminal who shall be subordinate to the Managing Director of the Authority.
