Duties of pound-keepers .- (1) Every pound-keeper shall keep such registers and furnish such returns as may be prescribed. (2) When cattle are brought to a pound, the pound-keeper shall enter in a register maintained for the purpose,- (a) the number and description of the animals ; (b) the day and the hour at which they were brought ; (c) the name and residence of the person seizing or causing the seizure of the cattle ; and (d) the name and residence of the owner, if known. (3) The pound-keeper shall give the person seizing, or causing the seizure of, the cattle or his agent a copy of the entry made under sub-section (2). (4) The pound-keeper shall take charge of the cattle and provide them with sufficient food and water until they are disposed of in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
