Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptations of Laws Order, 1973 w.e.f. 01.11.1973. (3) It shall come into force at once in the areas in which any of the Acts repealed by section 31 is in force ; and shall come into force in such other area on such date as the State Government may, by notification, specify : Provided that the State Government may, by notification, direct that it shall cease to be in force in any area from such date as may be specified in such notification, and thereupon section 6 of the 1[Karnataka]1 General Clauses Act, 1899 (1[Karnataka]1 Act III of 1899) shall be applicable as if this Act had been repealed in such area from the said date by a 1[Karnataka]1 Act.
