General powers of the Corporation.-(1)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules, regulations and bye-laws made thereunder the municipal governance of Bengaluru shall vest in the Corporation. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions of sub-section (1), it shall be the duty of the Corporation to exercise such powers, perform such functions and discharge such duties prescribed by and under this Act.
