Power to give directions to urban transport agencies, infrastructure development agencies and traffic management agencies.- (1) To ensure effective implementation of the objects and purposes of this Act, notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, the Authority may give such directions with regard to the implementation of any Urban Mobility service or infrastructure project within the Urban Mobility Region, as it may deem fit, to the relevant agencies responsible for providing the urban mobility and related infrastructure. Such directions shall be binding on such agencies and departments under the urban local bodies and State Government and shall override any contrary or conflicting order, direction issued by any such agencies and departments. (2) The authority may take such measures as it may deem appropriate to ensure implementation of the plans approved by the Authority.
