Power to supply water for non-domestic purposes.—(1) The Chief Engineer may, with the sanction of the Board, supply water for any purpose other than a domestic purpose on such terms and conditions consistent with this Act and the regulations made thereunder on receiving a written application specifying the purpose for which such supply is required and the quantity likely to be consumed. (2) When an application under sub-section (1) is received, the Chief Engineer may, subject to such charges and rates as may be fixed by the regulations, lay or allow to be laid the necessary pipes and water fittings of such dimensions and description as may be prescribed by the regulation and may arrange for the supply of water through such pipes and fittings.
