Vesting of works in Board.—On and from the date of coming into force of this Chapter, all public reservoirs, tanks, cisterns, fountains, wells, pumps, pipes, taps, conduits and other works connected with the supply of water to the 1[Bangalore Metropolitan Area]1 including the headworks and reservoirs at Tippagondanhalli and Hesarghatta and the rising mains whether made at the cost of the Government, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike or otherwise and all bridges, buildings, machinery, works, materials and other things connected therewith and all land (not being private property) adjacent and appertaining to the same shall vest in the Board and be subject to its control.
