Powers and duties of the Board.- Subject to the rules made under this Act, the powers and duties of the Board shall be,- (a) to administer and manage the Palace; (b) to layout and maintain public park and to preserve tree growth in the Palace; (c) to utilise the land surrounding the Palace for developing it as a Tree Park and Horticultural Garden and Botanical Museum exclusively, or partly for that purpose and partly for any other public purpose necessary for civic life; 11 (d) to levy, subject to such conditions as the State Government may impose, fees for entry into the Palace, Horticultural Garden and Botanical Museum; and (e) to do such other acts as may be prescribed and as are incidental or conducive to the efficient administration of the Palace by the Board.
