Power to make regulations SCHEDULE STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS I Act 8 of 2018.- Banavasi is the place of birth of Kannada Adhikavi Pampa and it was the first independent state of Kannada rulers and the capital of Kadambas. Therefore, it is considered necessary to constitute an Authority for development and maintenance of the heritage area in and around Banavasi in Sirsi Taluk of Uttara Kannada District into an International Pilgrim, Cultural and Tourist Centre. Hence, the Bill. [L.A. Bill No.64 of 2018, File No. Samvyashae 47 Shasana 2017] [entry 5 and 32 of List II and 40 of List III of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India.] II Amendment Act 54 of 2025:- It is considered necessary further to amend the Banavasi Development Authority Act, 2018 (Karnataka Act No.08 of 2018) to revise the provision regarding Chairperson of the Banavasi Development Authority as the Chief Minister or Revenue Minister or any other Minister as chosen by the Chief Minister.
