Power to make regulations SCHEDULE STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS I Act 8 of 2018.- Banavasi is the place of birth of Kannada Adhikavi Pampa and it was the first independent state of Kannada rulers and the capital of Kadambas. Therefore, it is considered necessary to constitute an Authority for development and maintenance of the heritage area in and around Banavasi in Sirsi Taluk of Uttara Kannada District into an International Pilgrim, Cultural and Tourist Centre.
