Validation and savings STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS Amending Act 04 of 2017.- The Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka had altered the names of twelve places of Karnataka. Vide Notification no: RD 03 TNV 2006, dated: 31.10.2014 (Annexure-1). A No-Objection from the Central Government for this alteration was obtained by the Administrative Department vide Home Ministry, Government of India letter No.11/30/2006-M&G, dated: 17.10.2014 and Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India O.M No. SM/28/04/2007, dated: 30.08.2013. But the names of places remained unaltered in various Laws in force in Karnataka. Therefore, it is considered necessary to amend the same and for construing, validation and savings of the altered names of certain places. Hence, the Bill. [L.A.
