(1) The prescribed authority may accept from any person who is Compounding reasonably suspected of having committed an offence under this of offences. Act, a sum of money by way of compounding of such offence and may out of the money so received, compensate the person against whom the offence has been committed, to the extent the prescribed authority deems reasonable. 52 झारखÖड गजट (असाधारण) शुĐवार, 22 जनवरȣ, 2016 (2) On the composition of offence, no further proceedings in respect thereof shall be taken against the accused and if any proceeding has already been instituted against him in a court, the composition shall have the effect of acquittal.
