Appointment and functions of the Committee. (1) Subject to any rules made under this Act. The board may from time to time and for any particular local area appoint one or more committees for the purpose of discharging such duties or performing such function as it may delegate to them and any such Committee may discharge such duties or perform such function with due regard to the circumstances and requirements of that particular areas. Provided that no Committee shall consist of less than three and more than seven members. (2) The Managing Director or such other person, as he may nominate in this behalf, shall be the President of He Committee and the Committee shall observe such rule of procedure in regard to transaction of business at its meetings as may be prescribed by regulations. (3) Every Committee shall carry out any instructions given to it by the Board and every final decision of such committee shall subject to any rule to the Contrary be laid before the board for confirmation. (4) The Board may at any time, for reasons to be recorded in writing, dissolve or subject to the provisions of sub-section (1) after the constitution of any such committee to modify or set aside the decision of the Committee. (5) No business shall be transacted at any meeting of the Committee unless there be present at least one half of the number of the members constituting the Committee. 1515 | P a g e
