Short title, extent and commencement. --- (1) This Act may be called the Bihar State Housing Board Act, 1982. (2) It extends to the whole of the state of Bihar: Provided that house-building activities of the Coal Mines Labour Housing Board under the Coal Mines Labour Welfare Funds Act, 1947 (Act 32 of 1947) and similar house- building activities of the Mica Mines and Iron Ore Mines Welfare Funds will remain outside the scope of the Housing Board. (3) It shall come into force at once.
