The powers and duties of the Senate. - Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Senate shall have the following powers and functions:- (i) to review the broad policies and programmes of the University and to suggest measures for the improvement and development of the University; (ii) to consider and pass resolution on the annual report, annual accounts, financial estimates and audit reports on such accounts of the University; and (iii) to advise the Chancellor in respect of any matter which may be referred to it for advice.
