Power of State Government to make rules regarding procedure.- (1) the 1[State] Government may make rules prescribing the procedure to be followed by the Court of the Deputy Commissioner and Courts of other officers invested with the powers of the Deputy Commissioner in dealing with applications and other proceedings under this Act and by the courts exercising appellate and revisional jurisdiction in dealing with appeals and revisions and other proceedings arising form such applications in respect of matters for which a procedure is not provided hereby; and may by any such rules direct that any provisions of the Santal Civil Rules shall be followed with or without modifications in dealing with all or any classes of such cases. (2) Until rules are made under sub-section (1) and subject to those rules when made and the other provisions of this Act, the provisions of the Santal Civil Rules shall, far as may be and so far as they are not inconsistent with this Act, be followed in dealing with cases referred to in sub-section (1).
