Procedure ulffh respecf to armed forces (1) Notwithstanding angthing contained in this Act, while dealing with complaints of violation of human rights bg mem bcrs of the arm ed forces, the Comm ission shall adopt the following procedure, nam ely :- it mag either on its ovvn motion or on receipt of a petition, seek a report from the Central Government; ' Subs. bg Act 43 of 2006 (b) after the receipt of the report, it mag, cither not proceed tvith the complainy or, as the case map bes make its recommendations to that Governm ent. (2) The Central Governme' nt shall inform the Commission of the action taken on the recommendations kvithin three months or such further time as the Commission mag allow. (3) The Commission shall publish its repol't together with îts recommendations made to the Central Government and the action taken by that Government on such recommendations. (4) The Commission shall provide a copg of the report published under sub-section (3) to the' petitioner or his representative.
