Cognizance of Offence

Cognizance of Offence.- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973(2 of 1974)- (a) no court inferior to that of a Judicial Magistrate of the first class shall try any offence under this Act; 9 झारखEड गजट (असाधारण) शुवार, 6 जनवर, 2017 (b) no court shall take cognizance of an offence under this Act except upon- (i) a police report of the facts which constitute such offence or, (ii) upon receiving a complain by the person aggrieved. (2) offence under section (4) shall be cognizable, non-bailable and non-compoundable:
