Procedure in the court – (1) The procedure in the court of a Municipal Magistrate shall, except where otherwise specifically provided in this Act, be in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. (2) The offences mentioned in sections 426, 436, 437, 439, and 607 shall be compoundable within the meaning of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
