Representation in District Planning Committee or Metropolitan Planning Committee – Having regard to the provisions of article 243ZD and article 243ZE of the Constitution of India and of State law enacted under these articles, a municipality shall participate in the election of members of the District Planning Committee or the Metropolitan Planning Committee, as the case may be, and such members shall actively represent the interests of the municipality in such Committees.
