Power to require cleansing of sources of water for drinking or culinary purposes – The Municipal Commissioner or the Executive Officer may by notice require the owner of, or the person having control over, a private watercourse, spring, tank, well, or other places, the water of which is used or likely to be used for drinking or culinary purposes, to clean the same, from time to time, of silt, refuse or decaying vegetation, and may also require him to protect the same from pollution in such manner as to the Municipal Commissioner or the Executive Officer may seem fit, and in the case of a well to repair the same.
