Constitution of the Advisory Council

Constitution of the Advisory Council.- (1) To advice and assist the Board in the discharge of the functions under this Act, the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute an Advisory Council to be called the 2[Jharkhand]Khadi and Village Industries Advisory Council consisting of the Chairman and besides the members of the Board, such number of other members, not exceeding twenty-one as are, in the opinion of the State Government, interested in the development of Khadi and Village Industries. (2) The Chairman of the Board Shall be the Chairman of the Advisory Council. (3) The terms of office of the other members of the Advisory Council Shall be three years form the date of publication of their names in the Official Gazette. (4) The State Government may if it thinks expedient, dissolve at any time the Advisory Council or accept the resignation of any member of the Advisory Council or direct that any person shall cease to be a member there of and any such action of the State Government shall not be questioned in any court of law. (2) The term of office of the Chairman and other members of the Advisory Council shall be three years form the date of the publication of their names in the Official Gazette: Provided that the State Government may, if it thinks expedient, dissolve, at any time, the Advisory Council or accept the resignation of any member of the Advisory Council or direct that any person shall cease to be a member thereof; and any such action of the State Government shall not be questioned in any Court.
