Appointment of Highwayt Authoritiss :- The $.ate Gowmment rnay, by noiification in the offieial Gazette, appoint for the purpos€ of this Act or any of ihs provisions any person or any ar.rthority to be a Highway Authority for all the highways {in the Sate) or, in parts (tfreruoQ or for any particular highway or highways (therein). specified in the notification.
