Magistrate having jurisdiction to try offences- No Magistrate other than- (a) a Magistrate whose powers are not less than those of a Magistrate of the second class, or (b) a Magistrate of the third class specially empowered by the District Magistrate in this behalf shall try any offence punishable under this Act.
