(1) The Registrar shall be appointed by the Chairperson of the Sponsoring Body in such manner, as may be specified in the Statutes. The Registrar shall possess the qualifications prescribed by the University Grants Commission. (2) The Registrar shall have the power to enter into agreements, sign documents and authenticate records on behalf of the University and shall exercise such other power and perform such other functions as may be prescribed. (3) The Registrar shall be the ex officio Member Secretary of the Executive Council and the Academic Council but shall not have a right to vote.
