(1) The Pro Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor in such manner and shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed. (2) The Pro Vice-Chancellor appointed under sub section (1) shall discharge his duties in addition to his duties as a Professor. (3) The Pro Vice-Chancellor shall assist the Vice Chancellor in discharging his duties as and when required by the Vice Chancellor. (4) The Pro Vice-Chancellor shall get honorarium of such amount as may be determined by the sponsoring body.
