Power to order castration – (1) The Veterinary Officer may by order, require any person keeping a bull which, in his opinion, has attained the prescribed age and in respect of which there is no licence for the time being in future to have to it castrated in the manner specified in the order within one month from the date of the service of the order. (2) Such castration shall be performed or caused to be performed by the Veterinary Officer free of charge, unless the person keeping the bull desires to make his own arrangement for complying with the order. (8) If the person keeping the bull fails to comply with the order within the time allowed under sub- section (1), the Veterinary Officer shall get the bull castrated in the prescribed manner free of charge.
