Interpretation. - In this Chapter, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context- (a) "Collector" includes an officer appointed by the State Government to discharge any of the functions of a Collector under this Chapter; (b) "defaulter" means a person (including his legal representative if he is dead) from whom any such debt or outstanding demand as is referred to in Section 57-A, is recoverable; and (c) "holding" means any land used for Agricultural or horticultural purposes.
