(1) The prescribed authority may, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, supply water for any purpose other than domestic purpose, on receiving an application under section 8 specifying the purpose for which such supply is required and the quantity likely to be consumed in connection therewith and on execution of a deed by the applicant in the prescribed manner : Provided that the prescribed authority may withdraw such supply at any time, if it considers necessary to do so, in order to maintain a sufficient supply of water for domestic purposes. (2) No person shall, without a permit issued by the prescribed authority, use water supplied under the Act for any purpose other than that for which its use has been authorised or permitted.
