Each Faculty shall have the following powers and functions, namely:–– (a) subject to the control of the Academic Council to organize the teaching work of the Cluster University in the subjects assigned to the Faculty ; (b) to suggest to the Academic Council the syllabi and courses of studies for different examinations after consulting the Boards of Studies ; (c) to recommend to the Academic Council the conditions for the award of degrees, diplomas and other distinctions ; (d) to deal with any matter referred to it by the University Council or the Syndicate or the Academic Council ; (e) to discharge such other functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes and Regulations ; (f) to transact such other business as may be approved by the Deans of the Faculties.
