(1) Saffron shall not be sold or distributed in the State, unless it is marked with the grade designation mark in the manner prescribed. (2) Whoever contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months and fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees.
