(1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Saffron Act, 2007. (2) It shall extend to 1 [the whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir]. (3) It shall come into force on such date 2 as the Government may, by notification in the 3 [Official Gazette], appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act and for different areas.
