Every person having ceased to be an enrolled Police officer under this Act, who shall not forthwith deliver up his certificate, and the clothing, accoutrements, appointments and other necessaries which shall have been supplied to him for the execution of his duty, shall be liable, on conviction before a 1 [Judicial Magistrate,] to a penalty not exceeding two hundred rupees, or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, or to both.
