Section 44

Prohibition on practice except as provided in the Act.

(1) Save as otherwise provided in the Act, no person shall practise or hold himself out, whether directly, as practising habitually for personal gain as a paramedical practitioner within the 1 [Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir]. (2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees or with both.
