(1) Every member including the 1 [Chairperson] of the Panchayati Adalat shall be deemed to be a public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the 2 [Indian Panal Code (45 of 1860)]. (2) The provisions of the 3 [Judicial Officers Protection Act, 1850 (18 of 1850)] shall apply to every Panchayati Adalat and to every member thereof while acting judicially.
