(1) Whenever any animal in the charge of any person dies, the person incharge thereof shall within twenty-four hours either–– (a) convey the carcass to a place provided or appointed under section 263 for the final disposal of the carcasses of dead animals ; or (b) give notice of the death to the Commissioner whereupon he shall cause the carcass to be disposed of. (2) In respect of the disposal of the carcass of dead animals under clause (b) of sub-section (1) the Commissioner may charge such fees as he may by public notice specify.
