(1) The President may, by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-President, resign his office. (2) The Vice-President may, by writing under his hand addressed to the President, resign his office. (3) The resignation under sub-section (1) or (2) shall take effect from the date of its acceptance by the Vice-President or the President, as the case may be.
