Section 192

(1) Whoever, without the consent of the owner or occupier or other person for the time being incharge, affixes any posting bill, notice placard or other paper or means of advertisement against or upon any building, wall, tree, board, fence or pale or writes upon soils, defaces or marks any such building, wall, tree, board, fence or pale, with chalk or paint or in any other way whatsoever, shall be punishable with a fine which shall not be less than twenty-five rupees and more than two hundred rupees. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 247 a court may take cognizance of an offence under sub-section (1) of this section upon the complaint of the owner or occupier or other person incharge of the property in respect of which offence is alleged to have been committed.
