Section 136

Power to require removal of nuisance arising from tanks and the lake

The municipality may by notice, require the owner or occupier of any land or building to cleanse, repair, cover, fill up or drain off any private well or tank, reservoir, pool, depression or excavation therein which may appear to the municipality to be injurious to health or offensive to the neighbourhood : Provided that if for the purposes of effecting any drainage under this section, it should be necessary to acquire any land not belonging to the same owner or to pay compensation to any person the municipality shall provide such land or pay such compensation.
