Power of making investigation.

The Government may, by notification in the 1 [Government Gazette], confer on any officer of the Sericulture Department not below the rank of an Inspector, all the powers of an officer-in-charge of police station under 2 [Chapter XII of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 (2 of 1974)] to make an investigation in a cognizable case.
