(1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act, 1996. (2) It extends to the 1 [whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir] 2 [x x x]. (3) It shall come into force on publication in the 3 [Official Gazette] in the prescribed manner.
