Notwithstanding anything contained in the Act and the Statutes, the first Vice-Chancellor, Executive Council and the Academic Council shall be nominated by the Chancellor and shall hold office for a term of three years : Provided that the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kashmir, the University of Jammu and the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University shall be ex-officio members of Executive Council so nominated.
