Section 60

Investment of funds

A co-operative society may invest or deposit its funds (a) in Government Saving Bank ; or (b) in any of the securities specified in 1 [section 20 of the Indian Trust Act, 1882 (2 of 1882)] ; or (c) in the shares or securities of any other co-operative society ; or (d) with any bank or 2 [Reserve Bank regulated financial institution of its choice] ; or (e) in any other mode permitted by the rules : 3 [Provided that the provisions of clause (e) shall not apply to a Cooperative Credit Structure Society.]
