The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to Co-operative Housing Societies registered in the * [Jammu and Kashmir State] before or after the commencement of this Act for the purpose hereinafter enumerated, namely :— (i) purchase acquisition of land ; (ii) land improvement ; (iii) construction, re-building or repairing of houses ; (iv) redemption of debts, incurred for any of the purposes mentioned in clauses (i) to (iii).
