The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, an institution registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001, shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property and to contract, and shall, by that name, sue and be sued.
