(1) This Act may be called the Industrial Development Bank of India Act, 1964. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date1 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act. Date of commencement: 20/06/1964 vide, Gazette of India, Ext., Part II, Section 3(i), dt. 20/06/1964.
