Dean of Faculty.- There shall be a Dean for each Faculty who shall be appointed in such manner and exercise such powers and performs such duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes. 1[15. Registrar.- (1) There shall be a Registrar who shall be ex-officio Member-Secretary of the Court, the Executive Council and Academic Council of the University. (2) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Statutes or the Ordinance of the University, the Registrar shall be appointed by the State Government from amongst the officer who have put in at least five years service in the Indian Administrative Services or at least nine years service in Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services, under the State Government, failing which by selection from amongst those eligible under the existing provisions of the First Ordinance of the University.
